Developing the full potential ICS OT cyber security professional is a long journey to be passed through, because an ideal practitioner in this segment should have sounding knowledge (theoretical and practical) covering several engineering disciplines, such as IT engineering, ICS OT engineering, cyber security engineering, and ICS OT cyber security engineering.

Having strong understanding on all those four (4) engineering disciplines is not an easy task, but it is doable through proper educational and professional milestone.

Introducing the engineering concept since the beginning, such as to school student, can be an exciting opportunity to develop proper professional in the future, as the time of development can be pulled in early phase of the journey, and the student can have a lot more experience through theoretical and practical endeavor during their study.

In Fedco International, we have started the project to educate and engage elementary school student to know more regarding ICS OT engineering through the FedPlant testbed as the educational kit. The concept of engineering such as process engineering, mechanical engineering, process safety in certain critical infrastructure industries, instrument control engineering through the testbed automation control and I/O termination, and the ultimate one is to provide them with the experience to learn and explore regarding ICS OT cyber security and its assurance milestones.

We believe that by starting the education to cover ICS OT cyber security aspect from the beginning, then we can develop more proper professional to cover this segment in the future. Our approach is to provide fun and challenging educational environment, to engage their interest, explore more, and build some original project represents the whole concept of the ICS OT engineering and its cyber security assurance aspect.

While for the professional, we have strong portfolio providing ICS OT cyber security courses since 2011, covering awareness level (ICS Cyber Awareness Course), intermediate level (ICS Cyber Security Management System Course), and advance level (ICS Cyber Security Assurance Course), with participants from across the globe especially from oil and gas industries, power industry, government institutions, etc. and some of them are Fortune 500 companies.

Our plan is to provide a continuous education in ICS OT cyber security segment, from elementary school grade up to professional and expert. We are trying to contribute the global environment to help providing the capable professionals to feed the cyber security and ICS OT cyber security positions in the future.
